Remember: there are two international competitions up and running, one of BDFIL in Lausanne, the second of the International Festival of Comics and Games in Łódź .
BDFIL‘s competition ‘Tomorrow’s Artists’ is open to everyone above 15 who has not yet been published. The deadline is the 29th of June. Participants can win prize money up to 2.000 CHF (approx. 1.600 euros) and will be invited to the festival (*) and a selection of their work will be exhibited during the BDFIL 2015 festival. Every project should present a complete story on one board, this year’s theme is The Scarecrow. Candidates can find all info and details here.
And the International Festival of Comics and Games in Łódź organizes the short comics story competition. The deadline is the 31st of August. Participants can win up to 6.000 PLN (approx. 1.440 euros) and will be invited to the festival where the winners of the competition will be announced. The competition is open to everyone. There is a participation fee of only 10 euros (outside of Poland, 30 PLN inside Poland). Participants can submit one complete and full story, up to 8 pages. There is no theme. (*) If residents of Western Europe. For winners living outside Western Europe, only accommodation and meals will be provided by the Festival and a sum of 500 CHF (approx. 400 euros) will be paid for travel expenses.
